[January 3] [Buffy The Vampire Slayer] Trends
Title: Trends
Day/Theme:
31_days January 3/She's in fashion, also for
au100 Prompt #044. Circle (5/50). (Table)
Series: BtVS
Character/Pairing: Buffy
Rating: 10+
Disclaimer: I do not own anything from the series; BtVS is owned by Joss Whedon, etc.
Trends come and go, what is ‘in’ today might be ‘out’ tomorrow. That was a lesson Buffy had learned long ago, in the life she had lived before becoming the Slayer. Back then she had only had to fight to stay at the top of the chain of power, to continue being the girl every else wanted to be. Now of course, she was fighting vampires, demons, and whatever else was thrown her way.
Part of her still missed the days when the only thing she had to worry about was a chain of power that constantly shifted, and caused many to fall out of favor. She could remember the days where the only thing she talked about was fashion and boys, not the monster of the week.
Yet, even if it was not always easy, she was truly content with the life she now lived. She no longer had to pretend to be something she wasn’t, and her friends gave her a type of freedom that she hadn’t had in her old life.
