So many years had passed since he had first decided that in order to defeat Voldemort he needed to know more spells, and more about magic. However, he didn’t have the time necessary to learn what would be needed, for him to destroy the dark lord.

At least that is what he had thought, until he discovered the book that changed his life. The spell had seemed like a miracle, but he should have known that everything had its price. He had preformed a spell to send him back thousands of years, and while he had learned things that would be extremely useful in the fight against Voldemort, he had also learned things that he would rather forget.

He had learned spells that would vanquish a soul, and that would make it impossible for someone to be brought back from the dead. But he had also learned what it was like to fall in love and later watch that person die.

There where spells he knew of that would strip a person of their magic, but he also knew the pain of losing a child. He could speak and read in so many languages that he had long since lost count; but he would always remember when he had realized that he would never age, and that he would have to return to his time… one day at a time.
