Her child’s lips are like a crimson thread, and Dru can’t wait to see blood running from those lips. She wonders what it will be like when she kisses crimson stained lips, though before she can have that pleasure she will need to teach her child all the joys of the night.
But for now, she must hurry… there is so much more to do and so little time. Her child’s friends would not be very pleased if they knew, and she can’t risk her baby’s safety. Still, the stars and moon sing to her, they comfort and protect her with whisperings of things to come, and Drusilla knows that they will also help keep her new child safe; for the stars are so very eager to greet her baby. They are already whispering about the path of crimson Dru and Buffy will leave for daddy to see.
