"Wait, if you have too many snow days, you have to make them up in the summer?" Jack frowned. As much fun as snow days were, he knew summer vacation was even better, even if he wasn't there for it except to sneak Jamie and Sophie off to the North Pole now and then for toy tryouts and some sweet relief from the heat.

This changed his plans, at least a little...

Jamie nodded, his expression obviously torn.

Jack reached over and ruffled Jamie's hair. "Let me know how many you can have and I'll see what I can do."

where i live, we so rarely get snow days that i didn't know the lost days were made up in the summer. so, like jack, i've learnt something new.

I don't know if it's true everywhere, but it absolutely was where I grew up. IIRC it only happened once, but that was more than enough! ^^;;
