An impossible battle was spread before them and Kyoya couldn't stop smiling. He'd given orders to his Force before they'd started the battle, and he was sure that Rommel had done the same. Now, he reached to open up communication for the entire group-

"Five hundred ships, with at least ten mobile suits each..."

"...bonus to take out the command ships..."

"...think we can do this?"

Kyoya cleared his throat.

"Remember the mission description and your briefing." Rommel's voice was clear and cut through the chatter. "This is a joint battle..."

Once Rommel had finished with his speech, Kyoya tried to think if he had anything to add. Two Forces versus five hundred ships and at least five thousand mobile suits and no idea how any of it was going to play out, let alone which ship was the commander or how the AI would act.

No, they probably wouldn't win. Not on their first try. That was fine.

Kyoya hadn't stopped smiling.

"Remember to have fun."

i really like how the start and end mirror each other, with kyoya smiling. he seems very relaxed here - confident.
