Series: Original
Character/Pairing: Alexandria, Rey

"You're not coming with us," she said firmly, her back facing him.
Growling, he kicked the dirt at his feet toward her, creating a small swirl of dust. "Why not?"
Alexandria turned back to him, her mouth curved into a sympathetic smile. "You're just a kid and the Western lands are no place for little things like you. There will be dangerous experiences and your abilities will make them ten times worse."
He looked down to the ground, hiding the anger in his face. "So you're saying that my abilities," he lifted his head and brought his hands out in front of him. They started to glow a faint blue and he directed his eyes at her. He smiled as his anger died down. "No. That's not what you're thinking. You just don't want to see me hurt."
Alexandria bent down and embraced the boy. His eyes widened as his hands touched her back. Her emotions washed over him quickly; his hands stopped glowing as he was overwhelmed. Alexandria smiled. "You see?"
He nodded slowly. "I think I do."
Alexandria patted his head affectionately. "Good boy."
