Brera had not been mistaken when he said he'd found a beautiful, secluded spot that could be theirs and theirs alone.

Ranka could see a partial moon and fading stars in the early morning sky, and some sort of aircraft in the distance, but all of it was so very far away that it barely seemed real.

"Awake already?"

"Yeah," Ranka replied, shifting against Brera and curling into his warmth. They'd slept beneath the stars, together, after reaffirming their connection. Ranka was sure she could still taste Brera, though she moved to kiss him again--
