„Oh, this again.“ Zeke looked at Casey's black eye, inwardly signing. The boy didn't even try to hide his daily bruises anymore. „Don't you think you could stop being so nice most of the time and stand up for yourself?“

Casey put his book down, shrugging. „Standing up against the jocks? What do you think I will look like after a fight with them?“

„There are other ways to show someone the limits. The last real fight I had was at boarding school. We both ended up in the hospital ward with bleeding noses, got grounded and had to help in the kitchen for some weeks afterward. And I decided that it was not worth the trouble. Nevertheless, I am still one of the most respected guys at school; not even the jock would ever dare to fuck around me." Zeke smirked. „Use your mind, Casey, they might be stronger than you, but you are much smarter.“
