[August 3] [Shaman King] Suicide
Title: Suicide
Day/Theme: August 3: Like Hamlet
Series: Shaman King
Character/Pairing: HaoYoh
Rating: PG
Yoh would have never guessed that someone like Hao could be poetic, or creative like he had discovered on that August night.
The way he had said certain things reminded him of different things he had read in class--well, before Manta had started doing book reports and the like for him.
One in particular he remembered was Hamlet. He remembered how sad it was--other students couldn’t understand what the point of it was, but he understood it perfectly.
Suicide.
He wondered... Had the thought ever crossed his own mind before? Had it crossed Hao’s? He smiled slightly, hugging his knees and starring into the fire. Why should he think about such a thing? Life was such a beautiful thing; and you only had one. Why lose something as precious as that?
Hao looked at him curious, reading his brother’s thoughts carefully. Since when did Yoh think about things like that...? How intriguing...
Yoh reminded him of himself in his first life. Always curious, always playful--always so naïve and innocent.
He was no longer the child he used to be.
He stood--taking his time to snap his fingers and putting the fire out--and turning.
“Training will begin tomorrow, Yoh. Make sure you’re prepared for training. I will not be as soft as your fiancée was.”
Yoh twitched at that, hugging his knees and looking upwards.
Hao was...interesting.
He definitely wanted to find out more about his older brother.
He grinned to himself as he stood, going to the tent Hao’s comrades had prepared for him.
This could be the month to get to know some strangers.
