Hello, world. You're looking every bit as terrible as I remember.
It likely did not look like much to the chattering flock that badgered him out of his self-imposed catatonia, his shrug of passive acceptance. He hadn't make it easy for them, after all. He really, really, did not want to move.
And yet.
Mirth and guilt sparked to life simultaneously and he squashed both down out of reflex -- but no. No, maybe it wouldn't be terrible to act for a little while.
Maybe.
Perhaps I can make something of it.
He did have all the time in the world.
