Yeah, maybe it did sound goofy. He meant every word -- all two of them, even -- and staring into the frozen pit of hell itself was not changing Cloud's mind now.
Or anyone else's, for that matter.
Hell, Barret looked like he was going to just jump the height of the Crater. Vincent looked like leashed fury, eyes like two bloodied embers (and that cracked facade, really, was more freaky than anything the man did to date) --
Tifa chanted names under her breath with every step. Names he remembered now. Nibelheim names.
Cloud unlimbered his sword and led them spiraling down.
