"Aw, can't you make it work?" Mannen asked as he leaned over Kei's shoulder. "We won't be able to hear Sasame's show tonight..."
"Do you even understand what Sasame is talking about most of the time?" Kei questioned. The radio seemed to be okay, other than where the antenna had detached when Hajime grabbed for it as it fell. Kei had already given the lecture about rough-housing inside. Now, he just needed to reattach it well-enough for the evening's broadcast.
"I know enough," Mannen insisted. "And even if I don't quite get all of it, I like hearing Sasame."
Kei could certainly understand that. He nodded and there- didn't even need Goh's fire to warm up the solder enough to put the antenna's wires back in place.
"Let's test it out," Kei said as he stood. He cradled the radio gently as he glanced around for a nice, safe place to put it. Beside him, Mannen seemed to be taking the task much more seriously than he needed to. Perhaps they had a shared interest that Kei hadn't quite realized. Well, that might get interesting in a few years.
But for now, they'd both just listen...
And enjoy Sasame's voice.
