Title: Alone again
Fandom: The Faculty
Characters: Zeke Tyler
Rating: PG13
Words: 170
Prompt: Alone again
Zeke closed his eyes and tried to go back to sleep. It was about eight o'clock on a Saturday morning, but there was no reason to stand up today. A long and lonely weekend was lying ahead of him.
No Casey would knock at his door, the usual wide smile on his lips, asking: “What are the plans for today? Maybe we could go to Akron, visit the zoo; I've heard they have tiger babies.“ And Zeke would have laughed, maybe protest a bit before he finally gave in. To be honest, he enjoyed Casey's sometimes geeky ideas as much as he enjoyed it to spend some time with him.
All this would never happen again. Casey had left Herrington, and Zeke, behind. Boston. MIT. A great future was lying ahead of him, and for sure he deserved it. Zeke had pretended that he was happy for him; he knew, it would have been pretty selfish only to think about himself.
But he hadn't thought that it would be so hard to be alone again.
