There was something in the air, though Brera couldn't really say just what it was. His senses were different from Alto's, but Alto seemed to notice it, too. They were deep into the dense forest and it was, quite honestly, too quiet. The things that resembled mosquitoes were gone now, and so are the flies, the birds, the little vajra that had been scampering beside them at the beginning of their trek...
This new planet was filled with wonders and odd things, but the formation they were headed toward had looked unique from the air. On foot, Brera had thoughts about it, but nothing he was quite willing to voice. He had a blade in hand. Glancing back, he could see that Alto had his gun ready. They were probably having the wrong reaction, but the stillness was downright eerie and Brera wasn't sure he knew any other way to react. Not anymore.
Finally, after what felt like far too long a walk, they came to a clearing with deep, clear blue water and a stone structure in the middle. There'd been no way to land anything closer to it, and hovering and cameras hadn't done the structure a bit of justice.
"Oh," Alto muttered as he looked up at it. Without being told, he holstered his gun and reached instead to start photographing it. Brera wasn't quite as quick to sheathe his blade, but he did have to admit that what they'd found was something special.
He wasn't sure how he'd describe it, but it was obviously not a natural formation. No, it was a stone structure, constructed by someone at some point in the past. And there, in a spot of perfect stillness in clear, deep blue water...
Brera stood beside Alto and realized they'd found something holy.
