Learna had her mask off before her feet even touched the stairs -- just opening the airlock was more than enough for the sights and sounds, the scents and auras and flutterings to wash over her like enveloping wings --
Behind her she heard Dante shout reminders to the non-Garudan crew to get their breathers on and keep them on. She wasn't worried; there was not an inkling of ill-fortune in the hin. All would be well.
Stretching, tail lashing with glee, she bounded down the ramp, metal ringing beneath her feet like welcoming bells as the world fused with her mind.
