Aphrodite brushed his hair behind his shoulders and sighed. Even at night, the air felt oppressive; his ringlets weighed against his neck, hot and uncomfortable, and he hadn't thought to bring anything with him to tie the thick locks back.
Still, it was more comfortable outside than in, so outside he stayed.
With the quiet darkness closing in, he could afford a moment of contemplation of the little things so often overlooked --
Little, and precious, like the carpet of snow-white blossoms of the gardens of Pisces furling in the strange sleep of green growing things.
It was enough for now.
