Wouldn't it have been nice if all this madness hadn't happened.
If they hadn't all swallowed a damned madman's gilded lies --
Somehow Milo doesn't choke on mirthless laughter at her own thoughts, but it's hard work. Just like it's hard work to avoid stringing up what's left of the madman and battering him with Needles until his final scream echoes away.
She contents herself with a silent snarl of hate as she stalks past his cell.
Oh, wouldn't it be nice ...
But Saga only murmurs quietly as she passes, gaze averted.
She wants to know; she's too proud to ask.
