Ring, ring. Zeke pulled the blanket over his head in the hopeless try to tune out the noise. Ring, ring. Finally he gave in, loudly groaning he grabbed for his cellphone. „Whoever it is, I hope you have a very good reason to call me that early in the morning. It's weekend, you shitass.“
A hilarious giggle was the answer, he recognized instantly. Casey, this little fucker. But his mood brightened up a bit.
„You have promised to give me ride to the Highbanks Metro Park.“ Casey's voice was cheery as ever. „Phototrip, remember, for my next school's project. Saturday morning and the park awakes. What do you think about this motto?“
Zeke finally had forced his eyes open and he dared a glance at the clock. „It isn't even six o'clock, do you think the park could wait until I'm fully awake and have had my coffee?“
„Not when I want to catch the sunrise and the dew on the flowers. Untouched nature; no playing children, jogger or people who walk their dogs.“
Zeke laughed slightly, for sure Casey was a geek, but he enjoyed it to hang around with him. „Fine,“ he gave in. "I will pick you up in ten minutes. But before we go to Highbanks we will make a stop at Starbucks. A large Guatemala Antigua Coffee with cream for me. Your treat.“
„That's only fair,“ Casey chuckled. „See you soon.“
