[June 18] [Fire Emblem Heroes] Chosen Multitude
Title: Chosen Multitude
Day / Prompt: 18 / Mosquitoes and Other Pests
Fandom: Fire Emblem Heroes
Character(s) / Pairing(s): Kiran (F), Odin
Rating / Warning(s): All Ages
Word Count: 265
"Behold! For it is I, the Chosen One, Odin Dark!" He blinked. "You, um, don't seem that impressed. Is it my delivery? Here, let me step behind this monolith here, and I can come out and try again if –" The Summoner shook her head. "Just not feeling it, huh?"
"No," Kiran said, grimacing, "not even the first time." All five of the Orbs she had loaded into the Breidablik had been blue, and every single one had produced ... Odin Dark. Every. Single. One. Granted, summoning had a certain element of randomness to it, but it occasionally seemed like the powers behind the Breidablik had a strange sense of humor. And it might have been almost charming, if not for having five of Odin present.
"No, no, like this," Odin 1 said to Odin 2. "To know the True Name of my weapon ... is death!" He grinned. "Put the pause there before you say it. Maximum delivery."
"No, no!" said Odin 3. "To ... know the True Name of my weapon is death! There!"
"Not right at all," demurred Odin 4, sighing. "To know the ... True Name of my weapon is death. Put the pause before 'True Name'. It gives you the right emphasis."
Odin 5 turned to Kiran and asked, "Um, how long have they – have we – been at this?"
"The whole time," Kiran deadpanned. "Honestly, I need a Tylenol."
All five Odins stopped and looked at her. As one, they all said, "That's a fantastic name for a weapon!" And the exclamation did nothing at all to help her headache.
END.
