Kyon found Itsuki standing near the school entrance, discreetly yet meaningfully watching a nearby female classmate.
"If I didn't know you better, I'd think you have a crush on her.0" Kyon said. "But everything you do has hidden intent."
"Why, Kyon," said Itsuki with a smile. "Can I not simply admire the beauty of a schoolgirl? We are only young once."
"Not buying it," Kyon said.
Itsuki sighed. "No, you're right. The Agency suspects she has dormant powers that rival Haruhi's own."
"None of this is easy for EITHER of us, huh," Kyon said.
"Quite," an unusually blunt Itsuki agreed.
