Kei awoke in his futon, opened his eyes, and found Mizuho watching him sleep.

"...oh," Kei said modestly. "Good morning, Mizuho."

"Good morning," Mizuho said. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah." Kei stretched and yawned. "Did I sleep in late? I feel like I've been sleeping for years."

"You were, in a way," Mizuho said.

"What!?" a suddenly alarmed Kei asked. "Did I fall into another 'standstill'!?"

"No," Mizuho said, "but the author hadn't written any Please Teacher! drabbles in eight years."

"Oh," Kei said. "Well, I'd even break the fourth wall if it meant I could wake up with you."
