Kyon found Haruhi sprawled across her home-room desk. "Did you pull an 'all-nighter' last night?" he asked as he sat at his own desk.

Haruhi sighed. "I am SO. FREAKING. BORED," she whined. "I wish this day were over so that I could go home and go back to bed."

"You mean you'd rather go home and go back to bed than stay for the SOS Brigade after school?" a genuinely surprised Kyon asked.

"Might as well," Haruhi grumbled. "The SOS Brigade is an extremely boring disappointment, present company included."

"You know," an annoyed Kyon said, "listening to you constantly complain about being bored is becoming boring."

"Oh NO you DIDN'T," Haruhi growled. "Don't you DARE turn this back on me, 'Boring McBoreFace'."

"All I'm saying is—"

"The CHAIRMAN OF THE BORED," Haruhi said. "Quoth the raven, ALWAYS BORE."

"Would you please—"

"If you were a US President," Haruhi declared, "your name would be Millard Fill-BORE."

"Shut up and—"

"IN FACT," Haruhi suddenly yelled. "YOU'RE THE MOST BORING BORE WHO EVER BORED THE BORED!!"

Kyon sighed. "I am SO. FREAKING. BORED," he whined. "I wish this day were over so that I could go home and go back to bed."
