Kyon found Haruhi standing at a schoolroom window and watching other students from a distance.

She's going to call those students idiots, Kyon thought.

"Look at all those idiots," Haruhi said.

Called it, Kyon thought.

"They're all just stupid boring people living stupid boring lives," Haruhi said dismissively.

"I'm no longer living a stupid boring life, thanks to you and your club," Kyon said. "Am I still a stupid boring person?"

Haruhi turned to Kyon and looked at him thoughtfully. "...I haven't decided yet," she finally said.

"I'm relieved to hear that I merit your consideration," an amused Kyon said.
