Title: Branch Deposit
Prompt: 31-May-2016 "sometimes on the branches, sometimes on the leaves / I search for her trail in the breeze"
Based on: Tenchi Muyo!
Characters: Tenchi, Ryoko
Type: Humor; 100 words
Warnings: Slapstick violence.
Tenchi was looking for Ryoko in the trees near his house, thinking that she might be snoozing on a branch, as she sometimes did.
A few twigs and leaves drifted down over his head. He paused and looked up into the nearest tree. "Ryoko? Is that you?" he called.
An empty sake bottle fell on Tenchi's head. "OUCH!!... Yeah, that's you."
And then, a drunken Ryoko fell on him and sent them both to the ground.
"Sorry about that," Ryoko giggled. "You OK, hon?"
"Yeah," Tenchi said, "but let's get out of here before the entire tree falls on me."
