"What a boring day," Haruhi whined to Kyon as they walked home from school.

"Well, don't worry," Kyon said kindly. "Tomorrow's another day."

Haruhi's face lit up. "OOH! What if tomorrow wasn't another day! What if if were a week, or a month, or a year!"

Kyon gulped. "Uh," he said carefully, "I really don't think that would be a very good idea—"

"Or what if tomorrow wasn't even time!" Haruhi said excitedly. "What if tomorrow were a PICKLE!"

Kyon face-palmed. Regardless of whether tomorrow is literally a pickle, he thought, I think I'm going to be IN a pickle.
