Author's comment: Just a drabble.
Those times he had been singled out, Meyer supposed it was just bad luck. He might have been small, but he was still clever and guns didn't discriminate based on size. It was always some time that he was alone. There was a lot to be said for strength in numbers. Even if it were just him and Charlie, that could sometimes be enough to dissuade people. Not always, but often.
There was another, wilder, friend who'd be a surety.
When Meyer called, Benny answered. And Benny on his own was worth more than some other bands of enemies combined.
