"Should we share news of these discomfiting rumors with our allies in the alliance?" the first minister inquired of Regent-General Ursula.
"No," Ursula answered, quick and decisive. "I do not wish to burden Wyndia with yet another of our problems. I see no reason why the states of the Fou Confederation should not be able to handle this particular issue on our own. It is not yet a crisis matter. We will nip it in the bud."
"Sh-shall I play the gardener?" Scias spoke up from his position standing just behind the regent-general's shoulder.
"It's not a one man job," she was similarly swift to dissuade him. "If you recall the wicked deeds perpetrated by the man we now seek… Well, he may no longer have any political power to hide behind, but the stories suggest their own sort of forces and energies."
"Lord Yuna…" the first minister murmured. She remembered him as well, though she had only served within the imperial palace as a low-ranked scribe in those days (which had been the saving of her life no doubt, as her duties were not daily and she had not been present within the walls the day the God Emperor returned for his throne).
Ursula sighed. "We didn't chase him down to the ends of the earth, when I think, in retrospect, we should have."
"You could've have known that then, General," the first minister tried to soothe her.
"And I am very sure that we nearly did." Ursula would accept no easy salve for her conscience. "I will put together a task force for this very important mission. We will clean up the mess we left behind before."
"M-maybe not Wyndia," Scias wondered, "But wh-what about Cray?"
