[Dec. 29] [FMA] Needling
Title: Needling
Day/Theme: Dec. 29, 2014 "Do you think about any of them?"
Series: Fullmetal Alchemist
Character/Pairing: Kimblee & Miles
Rating: PG
"You yourself are also a soldier, Major."
Miles didn't favor this guest to Briggs with so much as a turn of his head (he looked, but bet on his snow goggles to obscure the glance). He had a feeling where this was headed. The alchemist had been waiting for this since their confrontation in the hospital (or soon after, perhaps- for all that he wanted to put on a composed front, there was no way he could've been at the top of his game as he appeared in that bed), ruminating on the matter along with all his other carefully selected needles.
"Surely you've killed many men in defense of Fort Briggs- that's a vital part of your job as a soldier, so I can't say I'm all that interested in that part in and of itself, but, rather, your feelings and behavior afterward. The soldiers you've killed- do you think about any of them?"
What was the point of this? Obviously it was meant merely to get him riled up. Well, Miles wouldn't have been the one tasked with this job if he was the kind of person who got bent out of shape that easily. "What about you?"
"Oh, me?" Kimblee shrugged as if it were of little consequence, "I remember everyone I've killed. It's something of a specialty of mine."
