Lina stared at the beds. What kind of inns had bunk beds? If she wasn't dead tired and had already put down the deposit, she'd haul them all out to find a better inn. Instead, she turned to stare her roommate.

"I'm taking the top bunk."

"But Miss Lina-" Amelia began.

"If you can promise me that I won't have to fireball you for jumping off the bed while I'm trying to sleep, then I might consider whatever you have to say next, Amelia."

Amelia stayed silent.

"I thought so," Lina said as she climbed up to her bed.
