Later, maybe, if humanity survived the surge of the contagion which turned all those who died into Walkers, those who lived through the first days, weeks, months and then, if they were very lucky, years, Glenn sometimes wondered, when he had the time and brain-capacity, might be called heroic. Because history was like that. And, this, the Walkers, their whole world crumbling around them in no time at all, this was something that would need to be glorified.

And maybe, if someone wrote these first times down somewhere, Glenn was in some way kinda certain that they wouldn't be someone who had first hand memories of it, not of the first horrible times. He knew he could never do it, having had to live through them had been bad enough, he didn't want to remember.

Didn't want to remember all those he'd lost. All those who he had loved and who had turned and who had had to be put down like they were dogs.
