Fenimore had never gone in much for all that love business, but Dad always said that she was young and eventually she would click with the right person (maybe she would have to go farther abroad than others to meet him because their people were scattered so thin and the person for her (Fenimore wasn't so sure it would be a boy) wasn't necessarily living in their village).
For the person you truly loved, you would go to the ends of the earth if you had to. You would work hard, you would love hard, you might sacrifice your life.
When it happened, Fenimore knew.
