[Aug. 17] [Boardwalk Empire] Classy or Crass
Title: Classy or Crass
Day/Theme: Aug. 17, 2013 "that say 'let's get it on' while still appearing refined"
Series: Boardwalk Empire
Character/Pairing: Margaret/Nucky
Rating: PG
It was strange how one's opinions could change so swiftly if one paused to consider it. What a short time ago it had been when Margaret had been (somewhat awkwardly) selling this very sort of flimsy garment to well-provided for women of leisure, Nucky's own mistress at the time included. Now she not only owned similarly appointed flimsy finery, but was living that life.
Nucky's tastes ran the gamut. There were beautiful clothes and upper crust company at dinners at exclusive restaurants studded with ornate discussions of politics and art. …though the politics were often shady and the art forms were often low.
One side of Nucky might have drawn her to him, but could she really claim the other side dismayed her any?
Margaret wasn't sure she could see the dividing line between classy and crass any longer. Perhaps it had been an illusion all along.
