When there's something that the people need to know- something strange or unexplainable- they come to Mei. What "strange or unexplainable" entails can include a great many disparate things, from the whimsical moods of her half-brother, the emperor, to hitherto unheard of alchemic phenomena, but Mei handles them all with aplomb.

She is a trusted adviser in the court, but does not hole herself up in the capitol, rather, turning her immense skills, martial, mental, and alkahestric, to solving problems all across the empire. She travels a good three-fourths of the year and her Amestrian husband assists her.

Little wonder she is one of the best-remembered figures of her time.
