Axel frowned as he studied the decorations in front of him, should he go with the teddy bear or happy monkey theme? A month ago this wouldn't have been so hard. Roxas would have been fine with whatever. Now he wasn't even sure Roxas would appreciate it, so why did it matter? Back when Axel first had this idea he'd thought it was brilliant, but Roxas had been so touchy lately all this might do would be start another fight. Celebrating Roxas 'one year anniversary might only remind of his quest to discover the meaning of life. As if he needed reminding, all Roxas wanted to talk about lately was his stupid quest for answers. The more Roxas pushed the more Axel had to lie to him, and Axel was afraid Roxas was starting to realize he was being lied to. Axel desperately wished Roxas would stop making him chose between his friend and Organization. Axel liked the kid okay, but he'd pick the Organization every time. Axel was a survivor and he knew which choice would lead to a longer future. Deciding to go the light blue teddy bear theme Axel started to fill his basket with party decorations for a one year old. He'd throw Roxas a kick-ass first birthday party whether the kid appreciated it or not. Axel figured this was probably going to be Roxas' only birthday.
