Title: Finding Her Prince Charming
Day/Theme: May 8, 2013 - the beauty of confession
Series: Detective Conan
Pairing: Kyougoku Makoto and Suzuki Sonoko, with a hint of Kudou Shinichi and Mouri Ran
Rating: PG
It felt incredibly surreal.
Her anti-bourgeois strategy in getting a boyfriend actually worked! It wasn't how she expected it to happen, but it actually worked!
It was strange how destiny worked her magic. Ever since she was a little girl (not to mention the influence of watching romance movies with Ran), Sonoko would always fantasize about finding her own Prince Charming someday—a desire which only increased once she reached puberty and some of her peers already started dating. She hated to admit it, but there were plenty of times she'd been jealous of Ran, even as she couldn't understand what she saw in that deduction otaku in the first place. To add insult to injury, it was always Ran who got the attention of various guys even though she wasn't the one looking for a boyfriend. She'd always think, Hel-lo, I'm the one available here, not her! Can't you see she already has a husband!
She was thrilled when Michiwaki-san invited her out to lunch. Lucky! So, when she was about get killed by him, all she wanted to do was curse God. I hate you.
Then, from out of the blue, he came.
Yes, this is another one of those rushed pieces I wrote on the day of the deadline itself and, like those other fics, I'm going revise and, maybe, even expand on it before posting elsewhere, including my own fic journal. Oh, and this is also my first time writing for these two, so I'm quite worried my characterization would be off. Please, please, please do tell me how I can improve! Until next time!
