[May 6] [The 10th Kingdom] Fair Warning
Title: Fair Warning
Day/Theme: 6. you need to know that you're in for the fight of your life
Series: The 10th Kingdom
Character/Pairing: Wolf/Virginia
Virginia had always been very clear on what she wanted. She had to take care of her Dad. Eventually, she was going to have her own restaurant. Someday. She was going to have everything taken care of, she wouldn't need anyone, she would be in control. Then, maybe, if the right guy came along, she would have time and place for him. Not before. She had made sure everyone understood that. Most could take the hint. None had been willing to stick around for that long. That was the way she was sure she wanted it.
So why was Wolf still in orbit? She had made her feelings clear to him as well. None of the requirements were met. Her Dad was still in trouble, she was nowhere near control, and it was definitely not the time or place. Add being trapped in a different dimension, gypsy curses, a crazed huntsman, an evil queen, and being lost in a fairy tale kingdom (the 4th Kingdom, she thought) and her list kept getting longer.
Wolf didn't seem to mind. He was still trying much too hard to woo her. He was cute enough, probably, when he wasn't behaving like a maniac, but his presence was entirely too… Present. Everywhere. Constant. Overwhelming. She could always feel his eyes. He was always as close to her as he could get. If there was something to be said, he said it to her, even if was meant for Tony or Wendell.
It frustrated her. She wanted him far away. She wanted him quiet. She didn't quite want him gone entirely, but still. He came on too strong and he wouldn't let up. She wondered if sheep worrying was Kingdom slang for sexual harassment, which made her much more curt with him until it had no affect at all.
He swore he would do anything for her and she decided to take him up on it. She had given him plenty of warnings as to what to expect. He had proven himself persistent. Time to see if he could prove himself worthy.
