"You wish that you could be like me. That you hadn't spent your life so blind and spoiled. That you had the guts to break away from your father and live freely," Luc scoffed.

But he wasn't there anymore. He was dead. It was only another foolish daydream.

Sasarai shook his head. There was nothing good to be gained by indulging in such self-punishing misery. It wasn't as if he really wanted to leave the grounds of the Temple and go out on his own...right? He was happiest here. He was generally content.

Luc was gone, but Sasarai still feared him.
