Author's comment: Long day on the set. It's going to have to be a tiny one again...
Not just anyone can afford to drink wine filled with flecks of gold and rubies, but Effie Trinket knows more than one. How can she help it but be kind of taken aback by this? (How can she help but be jealous?)
Haymitch Abernathy could've afforded those sorts of drinks. He could have afforded to buy them and share them with her too. But all he ever appeared to drink was cheap, bootlegged swill. And even though she couldn't imagine absolutely any scenario in which she would want any, he could have at least offered her some, couldn't he?!
