Author's comment: Just a drabble. Musing on this prompt and a sketch from the other day.
"A toast to all the things we do for art," Kimblee suggested, lifting his paper cup of coffee in the general direction of Bixel House and the other apartments lining the street.
"I would rather not," Machi shook his head. The things he had done that Kimblee had in mind had had little to nothing to do with art. They had been about desperation; not knowing the proper way to help the people he cared about; reckless youth. And, in any case, he wasn't proud to have wrecked himself the way that Kimblee was.
"To us then?" he offered instead.
