[Dec. 14] [Suikoden III] Worn Around the Edges
Title: Worn Around the Edges
Day/Theme: Dec. 14, 2012 "the state that I'm in, the state of my heart"
Series: Suikoden III
Character/Pairing: Dios & Sasarai
Rating: PG
The bishop was not looking so well. Dios observed this from a careful distance, not wanting to be obvious about the mental notes he was taking. However, there was only so much (so little) that he could do under the circumstances and just watching Sasarai wilt wasn't doing much for his own well-being.
"Ahem," he announced his presence with a small cough and set the tea tray down on the side table, rattling the off-balance piece of furniture slightly. What mattered was that no tea sloshed over the edge of the cup and made a mess. The table would settle. The whole affair just needed to appear decorous.
Well, as much as it could given the circumstances.
This was not the sort of house arrest Sasarai had expected when the sentence was handed down by the victorious rebel forces. First off, this place wasn't his home. Whether it had been reasonable to think he might be allowed to stay at the Temple or not was another question, of course, but… Dios had entertained the hope that perhaps that place of arrest might be his home, for instance.
Perhaps that had been silly too.
"Thank you," Sasarai grasped the cup.
…There just had to be some sort of action Dios could take. "You're welcome, sir."
