A/N: Perfect drabble.

Edith knew that there were some, most of them members of the Other community, who believed that her death would benefit the world in some way.

The thought galled her.

That she should die for the sake of many simply because of who she was and what she might end up doing. That her mother had had to die to take what secrets she had with her into the grave. A grave Edith knew she physically didn't even have.

Sometimes she thought that it was all so futile. A good greater to be upheld by any costs... what a notion.
