Edith was lying on the bed of a vampire somewhere in the Quartier Latin in Paris. She was a deadly Snow white with her ebony hair, ivory skin and ruby red lips. Her deep green eyes were open, unfocused, her body swimming in a haze. She knew now why her mother had never taken the Sip from her now, the action was all too erotic, and had it been done between the two of them, it would have ruined what mother-daughter relationship they had.
Her Fae blood rebelled against her surrender, threatening to overpower her. But Edith merely pushed it off and let herself sink into the depravity of pleasure.
A vampire lay sprawled over her, pressing her down, even when there was no need to restrain her. She was not going anywhere Edith was willing, holding up her part of a bargain she had made. A Sip for information, a pact governed by vampire rules. Those willing to give their blood always had their questions answered. Not all survived, but Edith would.
Livy had hold of her wrist, a bold move even when the vampire knew the terrible force which Edith wielded through them. The vampire's pale face bent over the wrist, her fangs glinting in the light of a candle, and then she bit.
Edith arched her back, the fingers of her bitten hand curling, willing the dark power within her to subside, she could feel the black electricity crackling on her fingertips. As the vampire drank, Edith sank deeper, passion overriding the power in her blood.
Livy chuckled, licking at her wrist, sampling at the blood there. “Two,” she said.
It made Edith shudder. She wanted more. Who had known that a little biting would lull the power within her? The rhythmic sound of the vampire's feeding, indulging, pushing it dormant, just barely there. The girl was suddenly afraid, for the power was all that stood between her and the vampire. Between her and death.
Some reason resurfaced in her once more and she could get words past her trembling lips. She had to speak, even when her body was oh so willing to just get lost in the passion, give her all.
“We agreed... one...” Edith said, her voice strained as she fought for control. Seemed her rational mind was being lulled away into slumber by the vampire. Her mother had taught her much, but had somehow missed telling about the force of a kiss on a mortal.
“My Dark Angel, what a fool you are...” Livy told her and stole her away.
