At a standstill
No winds to sweep up
The dry erasings,
No rain to wash away
The ridiculous dreams.

Only an idea can inspire,
Change the stagnant ways,
Breathe life into collapsed lungs,
Rescue the dead efforts
Lifeless at the bottom.

Every blink, Earthly rotation,
The cycles, the history,
The lifes, the deaths,
The seasons of love
&
The centuries of hate;

The relentless cold climates,
Burning tropics,
Curiosity-stricken people
Like pus coming to a head
And then POP…

All sucked back in like an inhale,
A tease meant to glorify foolish dreams
And keep the losers in the game;
The plans return to stale air
As if they never happened.
