Title: Black/ White.
Day/Theme: July 16 – “When the War came.”
Rating: PG
Summary: Between the Black and the White
When it came, it didn’t announce itself with fanfare and cacophony of warfare, nor did it march boldly where many had been before in another life.
It walked silently between men kissing their rose flushed cheeks, bathing their sweating brows with gentleness; it seated itself at their right hand, and shared communion and faith. It held solidarity and secrets with the chosen few of which were many.
There was no rushing of feet over the grounds, no sounds in the wafting on the breeze mixing in with the blood loss that stained the bedding, walls and everything in reach.
There were no blitzes of angels which ravaged the plains till all that was left was the flurry of feathers that littered the grounds, so many.
No, when the war came.
It was over before it even started, before people even realised that such an apocalypse had taken place, no when it started -- people weren’t even aware that such a fight had taken place for their souls.
And when it ended.
She woke up.
