Waver knew this route back to the house was dangerous, but he wanted to get back before nightfall and it was a short cut. He had prayed that by walking briskly and thereby forcing Rider to keep up with him, he wouldn't notice it.

Waver had forgotten how noisy the place was and when they had barely passed the front door, the sound of lasers and beeps echoed. Rider paused and stared at small building like he was being beckon by sirens.

Waver attempted to make a run for it, but Rider grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back, without ever taking his gaze off the building. "Hey boy, what is this place called?" He grinned madly. "It sounds like there's a battle going on inside."

Waver sighed, twitching. "It's an arcade."

"Ooh!" said Rider, sounding even more intrigued. "I've read about those. These places are full of different kinds of games, right?"

"Yes," Waver grumbled, knowing there was no point in lying. "But we don't have the time for-"

Rider held out his hand. "Hey, lend me some coin. I want to try those car driving games I've read so much about."

"No, forget it!" Waver hissed and yanked himself free. "We have more important things to do than play stupid things!" He folded his arms and planted his feet firmly. "We're not going in there! And that's final!"

Within five minutes, Waver was moaning as he was forced to sit beside Rider and watch him try to steer a car in Road Rage 5.
