[April 13] [Tales of Legendia] Women's Work
Title: Women's Work
Day/Theme: April 13, 2012 "has Nature shown her household books to you, daughter-in-law, that her sons never saw?"
Series: Tales of Legendia
Character/Pairing: Thyra, Shirley, Senel, etc.
Rating: G
"It is going to be up to women to find more permanent solutions to this problem," Thyra declared with her usual brusqueness.
Awkward as it was, Shirley laughed a little. It was very like Thyra to say such a thing and, not only that, but she imagined that Fenimore would've agreed. Fenimore had doubted all Orerines in general, but she tended to save her greatest skepticism for their men (considering that they made up the chief portion of those who had actively attacked and abused the people of her village, it made sense).
"Well, since women seem to comprise more than half of our present company, I think the odds are in your favor," Senel chuckled too, but the feeling behind his laughter was somewhat heavier. He looked around at the leaders and ambassadors arranged around the table: there was Madame Musette, flanked by Curtis and Isabella, Chloe was present as an envoy of her kingdom, Shirley and Thyra in their capacities as Merines and Chief of the Ferines, Jay quietly taking notes of his own, and several minor officials from other neighboring lands, three female and one male.
"We've got this," Thyra agreed, although she was still rolling her eyes.
"Agreed," chimed in several strong voices.
"Senel, if you want to go wait for me somewhere in town, that would be just fine," Shirley offered sweetly.
Jay laughed the hardest of them all.
