[April 10] [Crossover: FMA x PMMM] Ancestral Dust
Title: Ancestral Dust
Day/Theme: April 10, 2012 "Let me have this dust"
Series: Crossover - Fullmetal Alchemist x Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Character/Pairing: Scar, Miles, Homura
Rating: PG
Author's comment: Not an exciting crossover. Homura is in the FMA world here. Another 0TP piece.
"I don't think I'm asking for much." Scar shifted his weight, but held his ground.
Major Miles wouldn't have expected anything less from him. At his side, Akemi looked between her commanding officer and the former renegade. It wasn't as if Miles had interacted with Scar overmuch, but he had the feeling they had reached a decent accord. Akemi had received even less of an opportunity to get to know him. She would never have suggested herself as the appropriate person to handle settling the land divisions and disputes necessary to the resettlement of Ishval.
"Akemi?" Miles prompted after a long-feeling stretch where his subordinate said nothing.
She looked at the neatly-drawn map bending slightly in her sweating hands. There were no notes made so far regarding this particular plot. This was the middle of the former Kanda District. It had been a prosperous area before the war. It was Scar's "hometown" so to speak.
"You can have it," the young woman spoke up at last. "As much as you want, or almost. Please just come and mark out the section that you'll require on this map."
"Don't get greedy," Miles teased as Scar accepted the pencil from Homura's hand and began to mark out the area he wanted in a portion that seemed fair.
"You shouldn't wait until the end to pick a place to make your home," Scar responded to both of them.
"You want us to be your neighbors?" Homura smiled, "Even putting aside the fact that we'll be living at the new base, at least for now, are you sure you'd want a military person on each side? We'd always be coming by and telling you that if you wanted to have a party it'd have to be quieter."
"It would be a small inconvenience. And I could easily handle it."
"How so?"
"By inviting both of you to the party in question," Scar replied.
