[February 29th] [Perry Mason] Candles and the Snow, 29

Title: Candles and the Snow, scene 29
Day/Theme: February 29th - ... To usher in the Spring
Series: Perry Mason
Character/Pairing: Hamilton Burger, Mignon Germaine
Rating: G

Time Period: Present day

This is undeniably the shortest of the pieces, but it looked so perfect as is.

I feel sad that the set is done. It was a fun experience. I do have plans for some of the March themes, so these characters and the others will definitely be back.

It was odd, the weather in Los Angeles the next day. Hamilton and Mignon had both been kept at the hospital overnight for observation, but now they were free to go. And as they emerged from the front doors, the rain was pouring down.

“Now that looks familiar,” Hamilton commented. “Do you still not mind the rain, Mignon?”

She smiled. “I still don’t,” she said. “Do you still not have an umbrella?”

“The hospital didn’t provide one,” Hamilton returned.

“Well then.” Mignon nodded to the waiting cab at the curb. “Shall we walk or run?”

“Let’s walk,” Hamilton said. He took Mignon’s offered arm and stepped from under the shelter of the building.

The rain immediately pelted over them. But they did not mind. The memories of the distant past mingled with those of the more recent past and the present. They were both alive and well. And their friendship would continue into whatever lay ahead in the future.
