AN: A continuation of my Oct. 1 AU, FMA: The Western :)
“I once saw Annie Oakley shoot.” Mustang tied her hands together, tightly, behind her back. “Not long ago.”
“I’m better.” She flexed her fingers, tilted her head so she could look at him. His eyes were shielded by his hat, but his smile was amused.
He looked down at the dead man, at the circle of trampled blood and dust. “You’re better. Worse luck. Dame Fortune looking down on you, isn’t she.”
She spat in the dirt at his feet. “I don’t kill anybody that don’t deserve it.”
He wanted to say, “Nobody finds vigilantism attractive, sweetheart.” But he hated to lie.
