9. "You're staying, right? Not transferring or leaving to do some other job or anything?" Julian asked Stuart. He tried not to let his anxiety over the possibility read too clearly on his pale face. It wasn't like Stuart didn't know how he felt anyway. He didn't have to be obvious about it.

"This may have rattled me, but it affected everyone else too. There's no way I could leave them now," the chaplain shook his head solemnly. "

8. "What will happen to Captain Barrett?" Marguerite's eyes were sharp and her gaze stern. She wasn't going to accept any answers that didn't include the straight truth. "She shouldn't be held responsible for what happened to Ms. Maxwell- not more than any other member of this crew."

"If that's the case, then, surely, the inquest won't find anything that would lead to her removal from the post, let alone having any criminal charges filed against her."

"I should hope not," Marguerite replied, her voice like ice. Jorge and Marta exchanged a funny glance, certain that if Marguerite felt justice had not been served, there would be hell to pay.

7. Yu mailed away some of his specimens to the his old friends at the university for further study. He bought a few more to replace them, along with another bag of potting soil and some new tools to further his personal experiments. It was nice for the ship to retain a little bit of green.

6. "I'm gonna be back, Marge!" May yelled through the noisy crowd.

Navigator's second in command was caught by surprise, turning around to stare at the young, slightly more experienced pilot as she waved her entire arm wildly over her head at her superior. "This is only shore leave! You're never going to get rid of me! I'm just going to keep better! I love you, Marge!"

"...Stop making a scene, Pilot Radcliff," Marguerite grumbled, although there was certainly no way the younger woman could hear her. If May was so annoying, why was she starting to blush?

5. "Is this a radio too?" Kallo asked the women from engineering, looking over the new device they had just brought up to the ship.

"Oh, yes, it is," Amber grinned, "A much, much better one. ...If we feel like it, we're going to be able to blast the entire ship with our music with the speakers on this."

"I look forward to it!" the alien smiled.

4. "No, you cannot join us aboard the ship," Jorge denied his son's frivolous wish yet again.

"Do you think someday Jorge is going to crack on that one?" May wondered.

"Past history and official policy say no," Priya guessed.

3. "I've got this cool new idea for the ship..." May started.

"No one wants to hear it," Parsa and Priya answered in unison.

2. "Ringo?! What are you doing back here?!!"

"What?" the wander threw up his hands in mock naivete, "Isn't a man allowed into his own home without being given the third degree?"

1. "Mrs. Maxwell?" As much as it hurt, Marta felt it was her duty to be part of this depressing delegation. "We're here on behalf of the U.N.S. Navigator to offer our condolences in person. ...Because your daughter wasn't just a member of our crew- she was our friend."
